Brief Description

Join Bully Paws for the 5k Walk for Paws on September 14, 2013, start time for the walk is 8am. This dog-friendly 5k walk will be held at the beautiful Curtis Memorial Park in Stafford Va. Humans without dogs are also welcome :)

 

REGISTRATION IS EASY!

1. Select "Register Now" above. 2. Select your walk category: Individual, Family, or Virtual. EVENT FEES: Individual walkers are $35; Families (2 or more related individuals) are $50; Virtual walkers (stay home and still fundraise!) are $20. NOTE: If you are registering as a family, only one person needs to provide their information. 3. Complete the online registration form. Make sure to let us know your t-shirt size and if you're bringing your own pup!

 

INDIVIDUAL WALKERS

Individual walkers can register for the walk for $35. This price includes participation for you and your dog in the walk on event day and a Walk for Paws t-shirt.

 

FAMILIES

Save on the registration cost and register two or more people of the same household for $50. This price includes participation for you, your family, and your dog in the walk on event day and one Walk for Paws t-shirt. Additional t-shirts may be purchased for $10 each when you register.

 

VIRTUAL WALKERS

Busy the day of the walk? Maybe you just like to sleep in? Sign up as a Virtual Walker for $20 and stay home. You'll still get a great Walk for Paws t-shirt to wear around town and we promise not to spill the beans that you slept in that day.

 

THERE ARE SO MANY REASONS TO PARTICIPATE

- Have Fun! The Walk for Paws 5k is a perfect opportunity to get out with your dog and enjoy the scenic Curtis Memorial Park.

- Fundraise! Raise much needed funds to help dogs in need.

- Unite! Show your support for pit bulls and pit bull type dogs by coming together for this community event.

 

GOOD STUFF TO KNOW

- The 5k walk will start at 8am. Participants are encouraged to arrive early at 7:30am to pick up their t-shirts

- The walk will begin and end at Shelter 7. Check the park website for details and information by clicking here.

- All fees, including registration and t-shirt purchasing fees, are non-refundable. - The walk will be happening rain or shine!

 

DOG PARTICIPATION RULES

You are welcome to bring your dog with you to participate in the 5k Walk for Paws, provided that certain events rules and requirements are met:

-- All dogs must be on a standard leash no longer than 6' long. Retractable leashes are NOT permitted. Choke chains are also NOT permitted.

-- Dogs must be accompanied and handled by a registered participant who is at least 18 years old.

-- Each participant may handle a maximum of one dog at a time.

-- Female dogs in heat are not permitted to attend or participate in the walk.

-- At the sole discretion of the Event Coordinators, any dog whose behavior is unruly or might otherwise prove hazardous or unreasonably disruptive to participants, other dogs, volunteers, spectators, or the public will be requested to leave the Bully Paws 5k Walk for Paws premises and route. No refunds will be issued to participants who are asked to leave before the conclusion of the walk.
